Special Corner - Wayne's Writings and Poems Highway Two (Poem) January 30, 2010

Many times I took it
It got me there on time
A lot more scenery to be seen
Instead of highway lines

The traffic moves at a slower pace
Through main streets of little towns
And people give a wave
And the driver has a face

It runs beside the river
A few sea ships to view
But frozen in the winter
Brings me a little shiver

Beside pastures of green
And rolling hills of trees
Pass a wagon full of hay
Where wildlife can be seen

A different place it seems to be
Where living can be seen
And friendly people come in view
Along this highway number two.
